I found A Thousand Words For Stranger to be a really interesting and action/adventure filled read. In many ways I analyzed this story through the meaning of Sira's telepathic race and why she is always on the run along with being hunted down. I also observed with how her character develops that she keeps piecing together her memories and origin more and more with the help of Morgan but also the meaning behind her people. An idea I had with this novel was what if she regained her memories instantly and went back to fight against those who were hunting her by hunting them. I thought in my opinion it would be an interesting turn of events of her gathering followers to help her fight back against her hunters and maybe they would know more about her origins that they would tell her. Another thing I analyzed and observed was Sira's history along with her people's history and significant meaning to the story and to what she wants to know and discover later on down the road. What I found interesting was her character development and meaning as a special clan member. Another thing that had meaning was her relationship with Morgan but throughout the novel I observed how difficult their inter-species relationship was on the run and how that affected the story because of how different they are. Lastly, the setting and melding of fantasy and Sci-Fi makes this story interesting to analyze Morgan and Sira’s experience of being on the run from a gang and how different species work with one another or how galactic diplomacy works.
In this novel The Martian I observed and analyzed the unique situation of Mark Watney of being stranded on Mars from a terrible sandstorm while his crew flew off. I think in my opinion the reader is engaged and interested all the way through since most of it is based on Mark and his experience on surviving on Mars while trying to find a way back home to Earth. What I analyzed from this book was how Mark used some farming techniques from Earth on Mars that works and ensures his survival for a while. The book makes the reader think about how he/she would survive if he/she was in Mark’s situation and it creates a way of problem solving. The problem solving would relate to his survival and communication with NASA but the same would relate to the reader if the reader though about how he/she would survive on their own in the wild but even another planet to myself is far fetched for survival. Also my idea with this book as an observation would be how there is a sense of strategy with the sur...
