Anniliation



In my own opinion Annihilation is a great read for anyone to get invested into.
The main topic I would like to talk about throughout the book that caught my attention
was the environment along with it’s fantastic and immersive design. The environment
looks plagued and infected with colorful algae and plants. My own experience with this was how
I felt that there was a connection with the environment along with the characters. The forests are
full of life but I felt intimidated when it turns night within this immersive world because danger
lurks within the shadows. My perspective was that the environment during the day felt mysterious,
interesting, and impactful while at night it’s more menacing, fearful, and dangerous.
This impacts my point of view with the book because the environment within this story portrays
a huge factor with characters and their interactions with the environment and it’s creatures.
It has an uneasy feeling for my own point of view because it’s pretty and colorful in one instance
and later on it turns into something far more dark and sinister. The world of Area X along with
the shimmer is all impacted by the environment which  makes me think how much does this
environment impact it’s characters both good and bad. It makes me ask how can such an environment
cause such an effect. Also my partake on the work is that it’s highly immersive and impactful to
anyone who experiences Area X, shimmer, and just the environment. Also I think it’s really
interesting and scientifically fascinating that Area X along with the entire environment changes
and alters all DNA within the world. It explains the beasts, mutations, and alterations to how
life looks within this interesting environment. I think this was a great idea that the writer has
with this execution of DNA alterations and impacts on not just people and characters but the
entire environment full of new life and possibilities.

Interview With a Vampire

I found this novel to be quite interesting with how a vampire’s life is along with his experiences. I found it interesting that Louis the main protagonist explains his life story on his life before and as a vampire. The main idea I want to get across with this novel is the conflict between Lestat, Claudia, and Louis and how it affects their story and perspective on the story. In my opinion, Louis should have escaped Lestat the vampire villain sooner without the consequence of Claudia being turned into a vampire. In my perspective I find it interesting that Lestat teaches Claudia how to kill others but Louis and Claudia start to hate Lestat and try to go against him. I find it interesting how both conflicts of Louis and Lestat grows and evolves into a warlike atmosphere with the two. In my perspective I would want Claudia to attack and fight Lestat with more training and advanced training from Louis to stop Lestat along with their dire experiences. Kiki's Delivery Service

With this story in particular I observed and took notice of how impactful and meaningful the story is to me and in my opinion it was exciting and interesting to decipher and analyze. The main topic I would want to focus on is KiKi’s training as a new witch and her relationship with other characters as a whole along with how society treats her. Her training in my opinion could have been better in this novel because she has to learn how to do everything on her own as a witch for the most part but she needs more mentorship in my opinion for at least the majority of her training process. The next thing that has my point of view would be her close relationship with some characters and how she is impacted by them. My personal point of view would have to be how is she affecting them since she’s different as a witch and someone who isn’t more normal and how they react to someone who is a witch in training. The next part that highly interests me is how society sees her in their world not hers....

BloodChild

When I read the short story Bloodchild I was really interested and fascinated by how two species can work together in good and bad way in my opinion. The first species that assists the other one are called the terrans and the other is known as the Tlic however the Tlic co-depends on the terrans. One part of this story that I observed and analyzed was the topic of slavery essentially in this short story. I observed how slavery was needed in this story in order for the Tlic species to survive but in my opinon I feel like the terrans should have recieved something in return for thier services towards the Tlic. I also took away from my own experience with this story that the Tlic need a terran host in order to reproduce their own species and survive. What I found to be quite interesting was how this story depends on the dependecy of another species and the meaning behind that relates to slavery but also survival in my opinion.
